The perfect french tip isn't all that hard to achieve. All I do is paint white half way down my nail, then use 100% acetone and an eye shadow make-up brush to wipe away the paint until it comes to a perfectly curved line. This is definitely hard at first, but it gets easier and it's a great skill for a girl to have who likes to get their nails done professionally. It'll save a lot of money!
The lace part I did just using bobby pins and toothpicks.
